Ground Zero Mosque
In the wake of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001 the United States of America has undergone a series of radical changes. Many of these changes have to do with religious freedom regarding Muslims in America. Ten years after 9/11 the need for a Manhattan-based Mosque was addressed. As the Muslim community fought for the creation of 51 Park Place, an Islamic center, controversy arose regarding its creation so near to Ground Zero.
